    Growth is a major success story for Rezidor. As one of the world’s most dynamic, fastest growing hotel companies, we dreamt of growth, we lived it, we planned it… and we delivered it!

    Our long-term objective is asset-light growth predominantly based on fee business. With a select geographic reach: diversification helps Rezidor navigate through market swings and still grow our bottom line. This strategy has enabled us to increase our emerging markets portfolio by 11% per annum since 2010.

    Europe, the Middle East and Africa are Rezidor’s territories. We are present in 80 countries, with a portfolio featuring 355 hotels with 78,628 rooms in operation and 102 hotels with 21,692 rooms under development. Our strategy targets asset-light, fee-based and geographically diversified growth, and focuses on emerging markets, where 47% of our operating room portfolio and 87% of our room pipeline are located. Our most important growth region is the powerful African continent, where we have the largest pipeline of hotels and rooms under development of all hotel chains (Source: W Hospitality).

    A balanced
    portfolio

    Our 2017 priority is delivering the pipeline by opening new hotels, rejuvenating growth in our mature markets specifically Europe, and accelerating our penetration in focus markets, especially in Africa and Poland. We will also concentrate on the rollout of our dynamic new brands – prizeotel and Radisson RED. 2017 will be another year of innovation with some exciting new concepts for our guests and investment partners in the resorts and residences for extended stay segment.

    Nordics

    In the Nordics, we will continue to defend our leading hotel chain position in the area, and introduce our lifestyle select Radisson RED and luxury brand, Quorvus Collection, in capital cities.

    Eastern Europe

    In Eastern Europe, Poland continues to be a key focus country. Our growth plan for the region includes Radisson RED hotels in key cities. For Park Inn by Radisson, we will concentrate on scaled growth in Baltics, Russia and other CIS countries; and we will continue to fill gaps with Radisson Blu.

    Rest of Western Europe

    We will continue our organic growth, roll out Radisson RED and increase Park Inn by Radisson hotels in Benelux. We remain committed to a solid Radisson Blu portfolio in the UK, and aim to further develop our upper-upscale core brand at key destinations like Geneva, Munich and Vienna.
